This is a secular CD with some gospel thrown in. The concept is to use it as an evangelistic tool. When you record nothing but gospel songs the unsaved usually will not listen to them. However, if you have secular music they might like and then throw in some messages about Jesus, and tell them He is the answer to life's broken roads, you have a chance to lead them to Christ instead of just singing to the choir!

These are all songs that I chose to be on this CD that have a personal meaning to me and I hope they relate to you and your memories in one way or the other.

Some Memories Just Won't Die is my title song and it talks about something I have experienced more than once in my life, which resulted in much heartbreak and sorrow.

Bobbie Ann Mason, well doesn't ever boy in High School have that one girl in his classes that was his fantasy dream? I had more than one, but this song tells it like it was!

Poor Side Of Town was a 60's hit by Johnny Rivers that I recorded which talks about how a special girl left her love for a rich guy but then realized money isn't everything

Blood Red And Goin' Down actually hits too close to home for me and my childhood memories of my daddy and mama's relationship, and it was painful for me to sing it. It haunts me to this day.

He Is My Everything was written and first recorded by Elvis Presley and it describes how I feel about my relationship with Jesus

Let Jesus Be There is a take off on the legend Olivia Newton-John's song , but rewritten to a good evangelistic song of why one should let Jesus be there for them

I Overlooked An Orchid is dedicated to a special lady from years ago that many say I should have married, but I screwed it up

Margie's At The Lincoln Park Inn well yes I've been there before with temptation and who hasn't? The result is Jesus is the answer!

Paycheck Woman is what I want. This song is for all of those lazy women on welfare out there who are just looking for a man to support them. The message is "GET A JOB!"

Rocky Racoon, well have you ever challenged a guy to a fight who took your girl and he won? Strangely, the Bible is the answer in this song!

Rolling With The Flow I guess if my friends who know me best could pick a song that describes me they would say this is it

Sea Of A Heartbreak describes my love life. Need I say more?

Rose In Paradise is a very haunting and chilling song that will leave it up to you to solve the mystery

Thank God And Greyhound is dedicated to someone that was in my life a long time ago. I wanted her to know how I felt when she left. Hope she listens to this.

The Year That Clayton Delaney Died was a huge hit for Tom T. Hall in the 70's and one of my favorite songs as a kid. Everyone has that older person in their childhood memories that made an impression on them.

She Never Cried describes one of my ex's right down to a tee. I dedicate this song to her.

An Endorsement From Mr. Dale Hogue, my main High School Teacher and One of my most important mentors:

Johnny Lee,

Great job!  I enjoyed listening to your song "Some Memories Just Won't Die."

All my life I've enjoyed singing.  I honestly believe that singing the lyrics of the
songs I chose to sing taught me how to write lyrics for my poetry.  It's always
nice to hear a story where someone lets us know how they feel about the way
things in life happen and what to make of the dreams we have.

Keep up the good work, my friend, you're a living example of what can be
accomplished by positive thinking, positive actions and positive living. You've
earned the right to be proud of what you've accomplished.
